We arrived in Dijon on Monday, May 16th after the longest day/night of travleing. We had a seven hour flight to London, followed by a brief flight to Paris and then a 5 hour bus ride to Dijon. After such an exhausting day I was excited to get into a big, comfy bed and fall asleep, but much to my dismay my bed is a small, uncomfortable bed with very stiff sheets. In addition to the luxury room, the bathroom is strange and I was apprehensive at first to shower. After the first couple of days I got used to my humble abode and am now accustomed to what the dorms in Dijon have to offer, such as no pots or pans in the kitchen, buying your own toilet paper and a "push" button for 15 seconds of water in the shower at a time. Besides the living situation, the food here is good, if you want to spend 40 euros on a meal, otherwise its sandwiches. However, the pastries here are delicious, especially the white chocolate bread!

Besides the living situation and some sketchy parts of town, Dijon does have some things to offer, such as:
The farmers Market with lots of fresh fruit and veggies :)
A beautiful park in the middle of Dijon
Our own little "Arc de Triumph"
One of my most diverse days in Dijon we saw:
- French Snookie
- the town drunks
- a French midget
- a blind French person
- French with rats as pets, on their shoulders
- French person cuss
- a guiedo
- a French punk
- Israeli French men in full attire
- the first obese French person
- a McDonalds worker who spoke English
needless to say... that was the most interesting day in Dijon I have had thus far. Usually I just get shoved and walked on by ill-mannered French who never apologize and stare at you as if you just spat on their baguette.
